I've been reading a novel written by an English writer that i bought just last sunday. The story took place in London and is written in 1st person point of view. I find that there are a lot of daily words that we use is used differently~
Like,
telly = TV
flat = apartment (this one i know already from my frd, Grace)
quid = $$ another way of saying English Pound
tube = subway
queue = line up (yes, there are line ups everywhere in London)
skip = garbage can
receiver = handset for the phone

...etc

so far, i haven't seen any "Yeah" half way thru the book, but there are a LOT of "Yes, Yes"!
haha.... YES" 'n "Bloody"!!

My head is full of British accent~
